The Bronze Key, by Holly Black, Cassandra Clare

I already loved this series but this book definitely reaffirmed it as one of my favourites. I longed to know who the spy was as all the characters have been around since the first book. I couldn’t think who would betray their friends or students. We were led down one path then swung down another.
It was also great to read more Cal’s personal dilemma and see him struggle with that on a daily basis. I loved his worry about who he really is and to see him fight off his dark side. It was great to see all the relationship between the characters grow, even some tentative romance. I liked how they were unsure about actually liking someone and weren’t instantly head-over heels in love like most YA. It was very realistic. Havoc is the best part, who wouldn’t want a giant, super intelligent wolf!
I give it 5/5
